"there is one issue on which girlfriends don't listen to girlfriends.
Clothes, hairstyle,career, family?
Girlfriends take their girlfriends' advice on all of that.
But when it comes to men?
We don't listen to each other. And do you know why?
Because we don't want to hear the truth.
Sylvia nods wisely,then points at Esther.
"Ask her. She never listens to us."
Esther shakes her head, "I don't"
"And we're always right,"Ruth says in a singsong voice .
Esther nods her head. "They are."
"But what you have to do," Ruth tells me,
" is be there for your girlfriend when the mishigas hits the fan.
You have to care more about your girlfriend then being right. Because if things get bad with Rico..."

Lola will need your support. All you can do is wait it out."
